Sri Balvanth Rao Varale Education Society’s was started in 1987 by honorable Chairman Sri. B.T. Ratnakar.The Society stood up for higher education vying with colleges that were few and far between in those days. The early days of the Society were adventure some with primitive facilities. Gradually The College became a beacon of enlightenment and boys and girls from every corner of the district as well as neighboring taluks streamed in quest of learning. The Chairman Sri. B.T. Ratnakar identified this need and started many Educational institutions running under our society. Sri Balwanth Rao Varale Education Institution has taken a main part in the spreading of education in this region. The society has specially catered to the needs of the students of rural areas as established several school and colleges in this region. Our society belongs to scheduled caste category and gives more stress on the upliftment of the backward and socially down trodden people. The society which has completed 26 years is one of the oldest and reputed college in this region. Besides this our society is striving for all round development of the children. Who are deprived of competitive atmosphere prevailing in town cities and metropolis. It is a matter of great pride for us to mention that our society runs orphanage centre, tailoring centres and several residential schools for the benefit of the poor and needy people.
Our academic output shall speak adequately for itself some of our students have topped in the universities examinations and some have clinched the medals accolades in sports events and other competitions.The college has reached its present level of excellence due to dedicated team work of the teaching and administrative staff and constant support and encouragement from the management. Above all moral support of the people of the region.In this way the college which is having an independent building is running successfully with assistance and support of the management in all respects.
It is an honour and a privilege for me to be the Principal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar First Grade College Bidar. Having its own vision, mission and identity. We want to prepare our student to inculcate human values such as love, sincerity, empathy, co-operation and constitutional values and by building these values in students can empower in there choosen profession.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar First Grade College Bidar is an off-shoot of Sri Balvanth Rao Varale Education Society’s Group of Institutions, was established in the year 1987.
The College affiliated to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. The College is situated at Bidar City. Sri Balwanth Rao Varale Education Institution has taken a main part in the spreading of education in this region. The society has specially catered to the needs of the students of rural areas as established several school and colleges in this region. Our society belongs to scheduled caste category and gives more stress on the upliftment of the backward and socially down trodden people.
